The reason you aren’t losing weight

The reason you aren’t losing weight

Eating right and exercising are the actions we are always being told to take to lose weight and get in the best shape of our lives.  Why then, is it so hard to do?  What is it that makes some people just ‘get it’ and for others it is so hard to step away from the chocolate cake?

It all comes down to your self belief.  How much you love yourself and how you believe you should be treated.
Many people have suffered from a low self esteem for as long as they can remember.  Always thinking I’m not good enough, and that somehow I am failing.  This lack of self-belief spreads across all aspects of your life and suddenly you start thinking you aren’t worth the good food.  You aren’t worth putting that extra effort in to make yourself feel good. And who cares if you’re fat – even if you lost weight you’d still hate your body.
Those who suddenly find that weight loss is easy are those who have decided to be kind to themselves.  To love their body regardless of what shape it is, and to kick out negative self talk.  If we can stand up to our inner voice that says we aren’t worth it, it all becomes so much simpler.
We intuitively reach for foods that will nourish our bodies, we move more because it feels good and it makes us happy.  When we reach for the chocolate cake it isn’t because we want to numb our emotions, it’s because we truly want to enjoy it.
So today I’m taking a stand against that annoying little voice in my head that says I can’t.  I am worth it, and I love myself no matter what.
It isn’t going to be easy, but with practice we can do this!
